Server Rules and Guidelines
Griefing Rules
Rule 1a. General Griefing Prohibition: Large-scale, senseless griefing that affects the server's overall integrity is strictly prohibited. This includes actions like blowing up entire chunks or destroying the landscape on a massive scale. However, targeted griefing, such as destroying specific buildings or structures that are not owned by other users, is allowed if there is a valid reason, such as in retaliation or as part of a war. If a player is found to be griefing without a valid war permit, they will face a temporary or permanent ban, depending on the severity.
Rule 1b. Base Griefing: You are not allowed to break any blocks that make up another player’s base or any blocks they’ve placed. This means if a player’s base is built underground, even naturally occurring blocks like stone used as part of the ceiling count as their base, and you cannot break them to gain entry. You are also not allowed to break blocks placed by players that block chests, doors, or any other parts of the base. Players are allowed to place blocks and other items on your property as long as it does not cause damage. Breaking this rule will lead to punishment, including a potential permanent ban, depending on the severity.
Rule 1c. Spawn Griefing: No griefing is allowed within 300 blocks of the spawn area. This rule is in place to protect new players and ensure that the spawn area remains functional and safe.
Rule 1d. Griefing in PvP: Repeated PvP does not justify griefing a player’s base. For example, if you repeatedly kill a player or are killed by them, you are not permitted to retaliate by destroying their base. You may not break blocks placed by other players to access chests or buildings. Additionally, killing mobs that are in or on another player's structure is prohibited.
Rule 1e. Building Near Established Bases: If a player builds a new structure within 100 blocks of another established base, the new build can be removed if it’s small or intrusive. However, if the new build is substantial or well-constructed, the issue must be reported to and handled by a moderator. The established player has the right to request removal of the new structure if it violates their space.
Rule 1f. Building Near Public Places: Building near public places like the End Portal, Stronghold, or End Gateways is only permitted if you do not block them off to the public. Blocking access to End Portals or End Gateways is strictly forbidden no matter what.
Rule 1g. Beacons, player heads and Shulkers count as items and may be stolen from players' bases while placed. Players should exercise caution in securing these valuable items
PvP and Combat Rules
Rule 2a. PvP and Stealing: PvP (Player vs. Player) is allowed, and you are free to steal from or kill other players. However, you are not allowed to break any blocks to gain access to blocked-off chests or rooms.
Rule 2b. Spawn Camping: Continuously attacking players at or near the spawn area, also known as spawn camping, is prohibited. This rule helps to ensure that new or respawning players have a fair chance to establish themselves in the world.
Rule 2c. War Protocol: War between factions or players must be approved by a moderator or admin. To initiate a war, you must open a ticket in #Tickets and provide a detailed backstory and reasons for the conflict. If the war request is denied, combat between factions is still allowed, but it will not be recognized as an official war which means both factions do not have war privileges.
Rule 2d. War Engagement: Once a war has been initiated through an attack, the defending party cannot simply refuse to participate. The war must play out, and capitulation (surrender) can only occur after one real-life day has passed. This ensures that wars are not prematurely ended without resolution.
Rule 2e. War Conduct: During a war, players are allowed to engage in activities that would otherwise be considered griefing, such as coordinated attacks, excessive theft, and widespread destruction. These hostile actions are permitted until one side capitulates. The winning side can claim items, resources, and even occupy bases belonging to the losing side.
Rule 2f. Pre-War Claims: Before a war begins, both sides can establish terms or claims that will be enforced if they win. For example, a claim might be "If you lose, you must give me 50 ingots of netherite" or "I want that portion of your land."
Rule 2g. War Negotiation Conduct: If war negotiations are initiated through a ticket and either or both parties fail to behave respectfully, the request will be closed, and both parties will receive a one-week ban. Conduct yourselves appropriately and follow the guidance of the moderator or judge overseeing the request. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate punishment. It’s disappointing that a rule like this is necessary, but failure to comply will result in consequences.
Land and Base Management Rules
Rule 3a. Land Claims: Players can claim land up to 100 blocks from the outer walls of their base. These land claims are verbal and can be marked with in-game banners for visual reinforcement. However, these claims do not provide any physical protection, meaning that other players can still enter or break blocks on this land.
Rule 3b. Trespassing on Claimed Land: If another player is found repeatedly trespassing this is not enough to justify griefing their base or declaring war.
Rule 3c. Land Claims During War: In the event of a war, players can request a portion of another player's claimed land as part of the victory terms. This request must be made clear before the war begins and must be agreed upon by the moderators.
Rule 3d. Player Team Limits: Teams are limited to a maximum of 6 players. Sharing bases or "living" together with members outside your team is strictly prohibited unless they are part of an official alliance recognized on the Discord server. Teams found to be "living," basing, or teaming with players outside their registered team or official alliance will face penalties, as will the non team members involved. If you have a team of 3 or more players, you must register it on the Discord server. Failure to register a team of 4 or more players will result in punishment for all members. Exceeding the 6 player team limit, whether registered or not, will also lead to penalties, such as a ban or kick for all involved.Violations of this rule, including unauthorized cohabitation or teaming with non team members, will result in disciplinary action ranging from warnings to bans, depending on the severity of the infraction.
Rule 3e. Alliance and Attack Rules: Teams are allowed to form one main alliance with another team. This alliance permits shared bases, hubs, and joint operations. Alliances must be registered and approved on the Discord server by Tekk or the staff team. Unofficial alliances are not recognized for coordinated attacks or raids. Trading, resource sharing, and other non-combat interactions with non-allied teams are still permitted.Teams are not allowed to attack or raid other teams using unofficial allies. Violations will result in punishments for all involved, ranging from 1-hour to permanent bans, depending on the severity. Official alliances may conduct joint attacks under the following conditions:
If the enemy team has 6 active players, attackers may attack with up to 8 players.
If the enemy team has 4 active players, attackers may attack with up to 6 players.
If the enemy team has 3 or fewer active players, allied teams are not allowed to attack or raid together.
(Note: Active player count refers only to online players during the engagement.)
In special cases, such as attacking an alliance hub, the number of attackers must match the defending team's active player count. For example:
If the defending alliance has 12 active players, attackers may bring up to 12 players.
If the defending alliance has fewer than 5 active players, allied support is not allowed.
Breaking these rules will result in punishments for all involved players, ranging from a ban of 1 hour to permanent, depending on the situation.
